I highly recommend these water shoes. Keen Water Shoe. The sole is sturdy and gives lots of protection. The upper shoe is very comfortable and hugs your foot well. You can adjust the shoelaces to tighten. I find the heel support to be fantastic, the back doesn’t slide off and stays snug. I’ve had these shoes for 5 years and they hold up super well. I just bought these new red ones, not because I needed new ones, I just liked the color 🙂 These are less than $120. I think they are a cross functional shoe, going from hiking, into water, walking river beds, etc.
