MAINE BEER CAFE – DO YOU HAVE ENOUGH TIME TO TASTE EVERYTHING THEY OFFER? SAVE 131 DAYS!!

On my quest to find the BEST local brewery, I find myself at Maine Beer Cafe on Route 1, Kittery, Maine.

Are you looking for a place that makes you feel comfortable and welcomed? Then you just might want to check out Maine Beer Cafe.

I’ve got to admit that the outside of the establishment didn’t have as much personality as the inside.

However, Jamie, the bartender’s beautiful smile greeted us as we entered.

They have an amazing selection of beer on draft, bottles and ciders and hard ciders. They have Bourbon as well…. a stunning 46 choices! Between the craft beer selection and the Bourbon you could go every day for 131 days before you finished tasting everything they have on their menu.

I tried the Schilling Beer, it was a Pilsner brewed in Littleton, NH. I was good, but nothing like the Night Shift, Lager brewed in Everett Mass that my husband had. That was amazing. The flavor was like an explosion in your mouth. It was a light beer with a shot of citrus. The next time I go back, the Night Shift will be my choice.  Their selection can change frequently as well.

The great thing about this establishment is that they draw a lot of locals. They have a beer club with numbered mugs on the wall. We even mentioned the name of one of our friends who recommended this place and Jamie said…… oh, yes #15 mug. That was pretty funny as I can tell he comes often.

On Wednesdays they host trivia at 6pm. They have weekend events as well. I’m going to link their facebook page so you can check out the exciting events they have.

Let’s talk food! I have to admit that we did not eat here because we had dinner plans, however, I saw some of the food being served and it looked delicious. The food menu was pretty extensive for a brewery, I was very surprised. They have everything from burgers and wraps to clam chowder and cobb salads. They even have a kid’s meal.

They have happy hour Wed-Friday 3-5pm with 1/2 off all appetizers and $1 off drafts, ciders and domestic brews. Every Thursday they have fresh Maine lobster rolls at $16. What a deal!! Oh man, if I lived closer I’d be there every Thursday for a lobster roll and a Night Shift.

I asked if they were dog friendly because a lot of my followers love to take their dogs with them. Jamie said that they are dog friendly. They have outside seating in the summer and dogs are welcome.

In conclusion, my friends, this is a MUST visit place. The beer, service and atmosphere give it a big thumbs up.

Visit their facebook and website linked below to get up to the moment events.  Enjoy!!
